THE HOLY CRAB 3RD ANNIVERSARY - MONSTER SEAFOOD ROLL

The Holy Crab is Louisiana themed seafood restaurant and known for the way they serve the food, directly on the table. Established on 2014, their first branch which located in Gunawarman street was standing strong ever since.

 It's spacious and remind me of the beach restaurant I often see in the movies

They have a lot of frame as a wall decoration, It's educational but in a fun way!

What a restaurant without a insta-worthy spot that makes you want to post it on instagram, here goes my favorite, the first one is this big poster, that kind of remind me of a pirate ship. and the second one is more green and modern, perfect for an ootd photos.

Move on the next, which I bet you've been waiting for.. THE FOOD!!

This February they are having their 3^rd Anniversary. Together with that they are having a very limited time menu which is “Monster Seafood Roll with Cajun Aioli Sauce” (only available during February). This menu is scheduled to be launch on February 1^st 2017, we got the privilege to be the first to try with some other blogger and media. Thank you for having us The Holy Crab!

What is in your mind when you read the name for the first time? In mine, when I read the word ‘monster’ well that must be BIG! Here is a sneaky preview

They also show how they make it, and that’s quite a show. Let’s get into the details, This are all the ingredient that you need.

Initially the toasted 90cm long sandwich bun, later they mix 300gr Alaskan Snow Crab Legs, 500gr shrimp, corn with Cajun Aioli sauce. and put it in the middle of the bun.

The main ingredients alone weighting about 1,2 KG. Can you imagine how big that is? 

Now the additional ingredients, they add avocado, and bell pepper.

To finish it they topped it with cheese sauce.

Here is the finish look. What a beautiful mess!

In total the weight of Monster Seafood Roll is around 2,5KG. They estimated that one Monster Seafood Roll can be shared for 6 to 8 people (IDR 450k++), around 11-15cm for each person. You can share it or you can have it all alone.

What about if I go there alone? Great question, they also have personal size monster seafood roll, all the same but smaller in size, 15 cm long (IDR 100k++)

I really love how big the Alaskan Snow crab legs, and the prawns are all fresh and it's in a decent size, the sauce is abit spicy, so the after awhile it leave you with a burning sensation in your tummy.

Besides the main seafood roll we also tried their famous side dish, Crispy Fish Finger and Crispy Chicken Strips.

Personally I always seek for Fish Fingers everywhere, because mommy say that fish makes me smart. hahaha joking. I just really like fish that much! Crispy skin and juicy fish meat, well cooked but it would be better if the add a little more salt on it. For the chips, its well cooked and well seasoned.

We didn't try Chicken Strips, because we're too full :" But it looks good tho.
